Artistic Statement
My photography explores the relationship between architecture, psychology, and human experience. Drawing upon my background in psychology and years of living in different cultural environments, I create images that reinterpret architectural spaces as visual allegories of emotional and social life.
Much of my recent work centers on the historic architecture of Bologna, Italy, particularly structures dating from the Renaissance period. Rather than presenting these buildings as static monuments, I transform them into expressive forms that reflect themes such as vulnerability, transition, historical continuity, and contemporary global events.
Several bodies of work emerge from this exploration. Some images portray architectural structures in reimagined states of motion, suggesting instability and transformation. Others are constructed from layered photographic compositions that combine multiple images to create complex emotional narratives. A third series approaches contemporary events through one-of-kind abstract visual interpretations grounded in photographic imagery and mixed media.
Each work is produced as a carefully crafted fine-art print using archival Hahnemühle German Etching paper or museum-quality canvas.
